English as a Second Language
This course fosters academic independence as students acquire the skills and strategies required for the
transition to college and university preparation English courses. Students will participate in debates and
make seminar presentations; they will interpret both literary and academic texts and respond critically to
print and media works. Students write essays, narratives and reports.
